Our new computer system is on it way!

There are a few hurdles for us to get over first and some important dates for you to be aware of.

All the data has to be transferred from our old system to the new one and we will be without a computer for a short period of time.

To help the transition go smoothly we need your help.

For repeat medication due during the last week in June and the first week in July, please can you ensure that all requests are with us by Monday 22nd June.  During the period when we do not have a computer it will be very difficult to process prescription requests.

There will be limited GP and nurse appointments between Thursday 2nd July and Wednesday 8th.

Online access for prescription ordering and booking appointments will not be available until after the 10th July, apologies but you will need to reregister for this service after the 10th.

Thank you very much for your support and patience.

Semi Retirement for Doctor Hugo Beardmore

Dear Patients

After 23 years as a GP at Northbourne Medical Centre I have taken the difficult decision to take semi- retirement from general practice.  I will be having a two month break during July and August, returning in September to cover some sessions when colleagues are on holiday, and I plan to continue to be involved in teaching new doctors at Brighton medical school.

I will therefore be stepping down as senior partner at the practice and handing the reigns over to Dr Alice Butler.

A new doctor will be joining the practice later in the year, details will be available in the waiting room and on the website, patients who have me as their named GP will be transferred to the new doctor.

I would like to thank my colleagues and patients for all their kind support over the years.

With kindest regards

Dr Hugo Beardmore
