Our overall CQC rating is “GOOD”

The practice had its CQC inspection on the 5th July.  Three inspectors visited the practice for the inspection, it was a long day for all of us but I am pleased to say that we received a rating of ‘Good’.   There is one area where the practice required improvement and this was in respect of the PAT testing for the non medical equipment, although booked in the diary this had not been done by the day of inspection.  I can confirm this is now all up to date.

We were commended for outstanding practice in two areas. The first was for our Dementia Cafe which runs on the 4th Tuesday morning of every month, at the practice, and is supported by members of our PPG and the Alzheimer’s society.  The second was for our GP lunch club where we hold educational meetings via video link from Western Sx Hospital Trust for practice GPs, local GPs and nurses.

We were also commended on the data from the National GP Patient Survey which shows our patients rate our practice significantly higher than others for several aspects of care.
